Easy fix. 4 o-rings on the filter..

High and low pressure pump.

After a long winter, I took the diesel S203 out of carage, started it with a new battery and left idling for some 10 minutes to recharge the car battery. Engine stopped suddenly and I couldn't get it running gain. After surfing all the Internet for help, I chekked the fuel filter; neither pipe delivered no fuel while cranking. OK, check the rear left fuses and relay -- and then I remembered "borrowing" a yellow fuse more than a year ago, and thought it was funny everything worked fine w/o that fuse. Now a had a spare and put it back: first cranking and the engine was running before the about 5 second timeout :-)

Teaching of the story: there are 3 pumps in chain for diesel in W203/S203 and if you are lucky and top up the tank often, you won't notice the feeder pump in tank is not running!

I have changed all these O rings but didnt help. Maybe low pressure pump is bad?

My own problem of Mercedes c220 started with fuel supply failure to engine while in acceleration. At first I thought I ran out of fuel since my meter guage is not working. After putting some little of fuel the engine stared but after running about 1km the car stopped as if the fuel has finished, and I top the fuel again with about 4litter the car started again and the same issues continue respectively until my eletrictian said that the tank has expired. But to my greatest surprise the issues continued after changing the fuel tank up till now. Please can anyone help a brother out on the possibly solution.

I have a 2002 mercedes c220 cdi and it wont start
unless i get someone to spray easy start into the
carb while i turn it on then wen started driving down
the road car dies and have to turn off the car and
start it back up while car is rolling kind of like a jump
start and epc comes anyone help me out car has
been fine then all of a sudden this started??

Got this problem now. I was thinking about high pressure pump as it is leaking fuel when try to start the engine, c220 cdi 2003. Thanks
