Volunteers sweep water after deadly Spain floods

Volunteers worked together to clear out floodwater in a suburb of Valencia, after deadly flash flooding devastated several areas locally.

The historic floods caused over 200 deaths. Ninety-three people have been officially declared missing, but authorities admit that the real number could be higher.

I just got back from helping all last week with a few of my guys, it is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Seeing humanity pull together in such a way is great, the authorities were a tiny percentage of the people on the ground the rest were volunteers and small and medium buisness owners doing the cleanup free of charge. Truly wonderful to see! And tragic at the same time.

Watching this 'Mud Army' as someone from Australia below said and in other videos endless trails of volunteers walking in in waves of unity, friends and strangers alike, is so heartwarming, encouraging and speaks volumes about the Spanish people. No words can speak as loudly as this.
