As we all know, there are some commissions or boards that conduct these kinds of multi-level entrance exams for recruitment in various posts of the central government. The CET will eliminate the preliminary levels of the examinations conducted by:

Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)

In the current scenario, the recruitment cycle in any exam conducted under any of them takes at least 18 months to complete. But there isn’t always much surety about the exams though as there are unwanted incidents like paper-leakage or some exam scam. To be fair enough the centre has also confirmed that an NRA or National Recruitment Agency will be brought to action very shortly that will autonomously conduct the CET.

Now, the big perplexing question is how will it work? So here are the steps to roll yourself in:

There will be a common portal under NRA (National Recruitment Agency) through which all the aspirants need to register themselves paying a single time process fee. Also, the exam centres will take place only within the selected districts

There will be a generalized syllabus and curriculum

In the central server, there will be a question bank with the standardized difficulty level

The CET will be conducted once in a year for now and during the exam, the specially designed algorithm will shuffle and distribute the questions in a way that each of the examinees finds a different question at the same time. This kind of step taken by the center really deserves applause as it will definitely cut short the chance of paper-leakage

Coming to the result part, the quick and online delivered results will have a three-year validation though candidates can appear multiple times within the age limit (i.e. the general age limits decided by SSC, RRB and IBPS in different categories. In the case of multiple attempts, the best of the scores will be granted

The long cycle of 18 months of recruitment is expected to be reduced to three to four months whereas recruitments like police and paramilitary will only count the “Marks obtained in CET + Physical assessment”. For the rest of the posts, the agencies will separately test the candidates’ potentiality through further stages of exams as usual. Lastly, since the examinations under SSC and others are already scheduled for 2020, the CET will be effective from the next year i.e. 2021.

So, this was everything you need to know for now. If something else comes out that proves to be helpful, we will update you at the very moment. NRA NATIONAL RECRUITMENT AGENCY
