Never had cousins around but just kids I would call cousins because our parents were good friends. This feeling was common.

Figuring this out as a kid made me feel so significant. We obviously share one set of grandparents but when I found out that they had one more set that was completely unrelated to me at all tripped me out. One time their grandma and 14 year old me tried to not blend in but actually think I was on the same level 😂. I look back at that moment and I cringe every time.
