It's always nice to see a full blown and constructed bollard tested. In it's full application there is so much more than a pipe sticking out of the ground.

I had a friend in HS (in the 70s) hit a bollard along a highway. He was going about 75mph, and was driving 2 tons of 1960s Detroit steel (like they made their cars back then). It destroyed the car, of course, but it also tore the bollard out of the ground and threw it a long distance away! (It was buried like 6 feet into the ground!) It was amazing to see his wrecked car.

I've installed these before. I was good at it too! I put several dozen of these in Texas. There is so much more hidden than you see.
I know what's involved putting one in. That's why I usually did 3 to 6 crash bollards in at a time.
They are very effective!

From my experience installing bollards. The one in the video was most likely bent a couple of degrees.

Meanwhile, you know those big red balls in front of Target stores that act as bollards? Well the steel bar it attachs to just snaps and the whole ball rolls. Now thats a barrier system LOL
