I went to a holistic doctor who said, "eat 3 meals a day, lots of protein, and eat NOTHING in-between." I lost 25lbs in a year, ate the amount I wanted, but didn't eat anything between meals. I did cheat here and there, but mostly stuck to the rule.

Calorie counting if you eat sugar, carbs and seed oil to loose weight is a loosing battle that can never be won.
Proper human diet is the only solution.

Just a reminder that all calorie counts are estimations.

It’s funny because this is yet another example of someone phrasing the premise wrong and then answering that false premise. No one on earth has ever thought they would improve their metabolic “health” by counting calories. wtf.

It's not about calories at all! It is about what you eat.
Another lie that was told is that fat is bad! Animal fat is awesome and everybody on carnivore, or keto will confirm that!😊

That is utter nonsense that you have to count calories. I lost 35 pounds of fat in nine months without ever counting calories. I just massively reduced the amount of crap food I was eating. The only number I paid attention to was how many grams of sugar I was eating. Everything else was eat as much as I want, just eat high quality food.

The only real value to counting calories is to understand how insignificant exercise is in losing weight. The food industry likes us to think of diet and exercise like they are 50/50 when it's really like 90% diet and 10% exercise and about 80% of that 10% value of exercise is that it will put you in a better mental and emotional state that will lead to you eating better. There is a massive value to exercise and I exercise 5-6 days a week, but losing weight isn't one of those things that comes from exercise.

Now that value of knowing calories... there are about 750 calories in a double cheeseburger. Not cheeseburger, fries, soda, just the double cheeseburger. If you hop on a stair climber and climb 4, 000 stairs in an hour, a little more than one stair per second for an hour, which is something a pretty small percentage of people can do, you will burn about 600 calories. So climbing 4, 000 stairs on a stair climber in an hour will burn fewer calories than are in a double cheeseburger even without the fries and a soda. That's the value of paying attention to calories, for you to understand that losing weight is virtually all about diet and almost nothing to do with exercise.

If you're trying to lose weight or be healthier you need to go get a full blood panel and see what your body's doing first!!!
