An English bloke making a Japanese styled bridge in a Swedish game. I haven’t seen this sorta blend since Mario.

If you want a dark prismarine substitute, you can use warped slab.

I tried this with a biome of a mod called Biomes o Plenty with a Sakura Forest and it turned out Great! I replaced the acacia with a wood from the mod (Aka the wood of the sakura tree)

id just like to comment for those of you who are trying to build this and other japanese structures in survival, i had trouble finding the prismarine blocks and it can be quite hard to get tons of them due to guardians and other such hazards without appropriate gear, but i found that replacing the prismarine with Warped planks is quite nice and far easier to get until you can replace it with prismarine.

Simply STUNNING! This village is shaping up beautifully. So majestic and so peaceful. I have never had the urge to build in an Asian style but you have inspired me so much with these brilliant works of art that I am now obsessed! The pallet is gorgeous, the shape you achieved is sublime, and again you show your keen eye on detailing without going overboard. I absolutely cannot wait to see what you do next!

Cheers 🍻

Tip for anyone building this in survival, don't use hyphae/wood blocks for most of the bridge, just on the exposed bottom parts. You lose 1 log making 3 hyphae/wood blocks.

This series is fantastic and JUST what I was looking for. Great builds with clear, concise instructions. The list of materials is soooo nice. Hope to see more! I finished up the build of my house today. Now I get to pimp it out!

Just changed the spruce for dark oak and the acacia for spruce, it's an amazing color pallet too if you want to try it :)

Nice build. I am building an island that this bridge will fit nicely to connect to the surrounding land. I know that this video is now 6 months old, but after watching it a few times I had a few points of feedback:

* I love that you show the outline of the area the build will take. It helps to visualize the space needed.
* I kept wondering why you would use half blocks instead of two double blocks for the roof. Is this just to conserve the dark prismarine since its a little tough to come by?
* While you had a material list, knowing the count of each item would be a nice improvement. It will help those not doing this in creative mode.

Thanks again for sharing this. The roof looks troublesome but beautiful. Cheers.

I really loved your design and started the bridge. I used different wood to combine, but in the end its the same bridge. You did an awesome work on that project except ... ur second side was so much easier and different to build. Way less breaking blocks (two slabs on each other) and replace a slab instead and way smoother. Ur first side was a lot more complicated described, although in the end, it turned out the same. So dont get me wrong... awesome without question. You can be proud of yourself to be that creative. Thank you for this great opportunity to combine yourr bridge into my japanese themed House and Zengarden ♥
