This is Squirrel With A Gun and as the game’s title suggest you literally play as a squirrel with a gun. Thanks to the developer, Dan Dentremont, we finally know what this game is about and some new gameplay was revealed too.

The fact that the gun gives you movement options is actually a super cool mechanic. It’d be cool if you could use that to get to places you couldn’t otherwise.

There was a scene in Over the Hedge where the hyperactive squirrel character gets a hold of an energy drink and this makes him so fast that the world around almost freezes and he experiences a few seconds as like a minute or two. Basically like the quick silver scene in that recent x men movie. Add something like that to the game; make it where you can pull chairs out from under people or poop in their food or something similar. Also if you could do a planet of the apes type thing with the other squirrels and use the whole group to ambush people. SQUIRREL TIME 🦍

Co-op would really give this game some more playability. Everything is better if you can do it with friends, especially sandbox games. I’m still very excited for this game regardless whether it’s multiplayer or not

This reminds me of menacing people as a goose in Untitled Goose Game, except you're a squirrel and much more deadly. Seems like it has good potential to be fun and hilarious!

add a skateboard, and the ability to run up pipes and trees, and I'm sold. oh, and maybe you could earn a flying squirrel wing suit to glide in the sandbox. Looks like it needs a veriety of bad guys to fight. right now it looks fun and goofy, but what if your turned it into the next doom eternal. fast-dodging, lots of diverse bad guys, emphesis on hoard killing, through levels in a miniture world could be huge. (with speedrummers wanting to run your game every day. thats free advertizing on twitch buddy.) looks good, keep up the good work!

The idea of a squirrel holding the gun and killing people is just amazing

Needs both squirrel missions and SWG missions. Like a drive to bury acorns and recharge a taser on a powerline. Maybe get cats out of trees or take revenge on a hole crows. I personally like the idea of the squirrel becomes incumbered trying to use something heavy like a shotgun vs a small squirrel sized slingshot. Maybe weather elements like rain which makes smaller missions near a home base tree or outpost like in a bush. Collecting bottle caps and using a broken bottle as a knife.

Maybe add an obstacle course to obtain certain items. Its been proven that squirrels are very smart and will actually try to go through tough obstacle courses just to get food.

I am very hyped for this game. It looks absolutely ridiculous and wonderful. Would love to see some other squirrel types to choose from. Red squirrel, grey squirrel, ground squirrel, etc.
