How to Write Numbers in Expanded Form

Writing numbers in expanded form is easy, and we do several example problems in this video. To write a number in expanded form, we need only consider the place values of its digits, and what the digits actually represent - then write our number as a sum of what those digits represent. Big numbers are made up of ones, tens, hundreds, and bigger place values, and we can write it down in a way that breaks it up - this is called expanded form.
