girl my piece of advice is JUST TRY! ik its honestly rlly scary at first, but u js need to practice. The first time might feel WIERD and uncomfortable, but then js take it out and try again! U WILL GET THE HANG IF IT! I was scared to, but I do ballet and I was doing these WIERD “makeshift “tampons”” (DONT ASK LOL) but then I switched to real tampons and TGEY are such a game changer. I told myself I would only wear them for dance, but I wear them all the time now✨✨ HOPE THIS HELPS GIRLY U GOT THIS!!!!

story time guys. when i first got my period i was getting ready to vacation in hawaii and we’d just checked into our hotel. it was my first vacation ever i think. we had just gotten settled in and wanted to go to the beach before it got too dark so my mom was helping me with a tampon so we could go swimming. it was definitely the fact that i’d hadn’t eaten too much being on the plane but for whatever reason the tampon pushed me over the edge, i passed out. then passed out 3 more times on the way to the hotel and was afraid of tampons for years😭😭

Guys im 13 and they really aren’t bad to put in it doesn’t hurt at all the only painful part is the first time you take it out but then you’re used to it its only the first time bc you dont know what to expect. Also im a swimmer so i have to use them.

Tips for beginners!!!⬇️
If it's your first time or you tried one time and now you're scared, these tips are very useful.
Once you're on your period, choose a time when you'll have a *medium flow* . This way you can use slim tampons but enough blood will soak into the tampon that it won't hurt when pulling it out.
Use the *smallest* tampons available! Also use a *plastic applicator* if possible. It is easy to get it in once you get the angle right.
Take a deep breath! If you don't get a tampon in today, it's okay. It might take a long time for you to get it.
Sit on the toilet or other seat and relax your muscles. Being relaxed is important!!!
What I did for my first tampon was hold a handheld mirror so I could find ✨the hole✨.
Find ✨the hole✨ and put the tampon at ✨the entrance✨. Sometimes the hole can be hard to find and it doesn't really look like a hole. It can be helpful to find the hole prior, like in the shower with your finger (make sure to wash your hands!!!) *Aim towards your back* . You might have to shift the tampon around a bit, and it shouldn't hurt. Stay relaxed! If you have a plastic applicator, it will just slide in if you have the right angle. *It should not hurt* . Slide the applicator in until you can only see the bottom 1/2 inch (or about a cm). Then use your finger to push the tampon inside, pulling the applicator out as you go. Once the tampon is in, *don't pull it out right away* ! You need to let the blood soak in so the material doesn't rub painfully inside you. If you need to push the tampon up further you can use your finger. *Make sure to wash your hands* !

Hey, adult here, I was also scared when I was younger but I promise it’s not bad at all. New things can be uncomfortable no matter what the scenario is. Of course it’s going to be weird at first, but you will get used to it ❤️ I personally like them better because it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything (unlike a pad and having that “diaper” feeling”), you can go swimming with them in, etc.
it’s important to change them regularly. There are pros and cons to tampons and pads. Do whatever you’re comfortable with. There are adults that use pads so don’t think that tampons are a part of “growing up”. It’s just a preference thing and whatever works better for you ❤️ you guys got this!

i was the same way. for the first few cycles of my period i swore i was never going to use them. but then i tried it and i literally feel so much less crappy and like gross. i still do wear pads to bed but if you wanna wear pads, tampons or whatever, its fine cuz its every bodies choice
