Also, not long after the start of commercial TV in the UK, the regulatory body made a rule that advertising can't be seen to use so-called "Pester power" after an ad for Fruit Gums (sweets) used the line "Don't forget the Fruit Gums, Mum" repeatedly so was changed to "Chum'.

I’ve noticed the amount of ads when Ive been to different countries, honestly some shows are unwatchable due to the amount of ad breaks during the program
