America's Next Top Model's Most Controversial Photoshoots

Naturally, reality tv isn’t without its scandals. Now, America’s Next Top Model? It’s practically a cultural phenomenon that pushed boundaries and models to all of their extremes. Audiences were glued for all twenty-four seasons (also known as cycles).

With the series being available now on streaming services, new sets of eyes are on the show, and viewers have noticed some aspects of the series that are funny and cringe-worthy at best, and highly problematic at worst.

I think this is a true picture of what models are made to do in the industry.... how they are treated and not respected in the least

I never watched the show. This treatment is abhorrent! I wish these judges had gotten in some serious trouble for some of these incidences, but I'm sure the models are forced to sign ridiculously tight contracts. It's like none of them have a conscious whatsoever! I had already seen awful clips of how Tyra treated some of the contestants, but the others are just as bad if not worse!

Tira Banks is a very hateful person. And not everyone likes her. I used to love to see her show until she made an Asian woman as a black woman. I don’t know what why she wants everyone to be other that yourself. Every woman is beautiful in her own way and color. Color has nothing to do with beauty so why press your beliefs on everyone else. I find that colored woman are extremely beautiful just as white woman. What I do see in a person is the goodness of their heart not a color.

I know that some of these went too far but I also know that if you're wanting to actually be a "Top Model" you have to deal with a LOT of crap so it's kind of like a catch 22. If cold water is too much for you, you're probably in the wrong profession. If nudity bothers you while you're trying to be a part of an overly sexualized profession, again it's probably the wrong profession.

It’s not racist if someone of a different race isn’t attracted to your race. Everyone has a preference and if a certain race isn’t their preference, their allowed to voice that.
