It wasn't explained further how Gyokko found the swordsmith village but in the manga, big pots and vases are shown in the village everywhere. The only logical reason why Gyokko found the SS village is that one of the swordsmiths who bought and brought the vase to the village without knowing that it has mysterious creature inside. In a fanbook, it's mentioned that Muzan sells Gyokko's vases for business and gathering information as well.

On the other hand, Genya's ability will be unfold later on. Remember that each survivor from the final selection has heightened senses:
Tanjiro - Smell
Zenitsu - Hear
Inosuke - Touch /Feel
Genya - ???
Kanao - ???

According to what was mentioned in the book "The Fan Book"

Gyoko is one of Muzan's favorite moons, as he benefits from selling his vases, which are sold at high prices

As for the story of Gyoko's arrival in the village, even though it is a hidden village

It is possible that gyuko vases were sold and some of them arrived in the village and were bought by a swordsmith or people in the village

Gyoko can tell where the vases are because they are of his blood

It is possible that after selling one of the vases, Gyoko learned the location of the village and when he shared this information with Muzan, he sent them to check on it.

* When Tanjiro arrived in the village, there was a vase outside one of the houses. (This detail is not drawn in the anime)
