Each of the last 3 years Minnesota has dominated the line of scrimmage. Anxious to see how Iowa holds up this year.

Great stuff as always guys. I couldn't agree more, this is an early season, must-win, conference game. Where Iowa's defense has shown a few areas of weakness, I fully expect Phil and Seth to have those things corrected going up north. I think Minnesota will find areas of our run defense where they will have success and find chunks and there will be more coverage schemes early in the game to really force everything under 15 yards, but I like Phil's ability to adjust in Year 2 of facing Simon/Harbaugh. Iowa will not be worried about any type of run option with Brosmer and I think Phil will find his moments early in the second half to start putting more pressure on Brosmer forcing him to make quick decisions. I like our veteran defense and schemes against Brosmer and think this is a big step up in competition from what he's seen in the past and the first three games on the year.

Much like we've seen in the non-conference games, I think Iowa needs to establish run early. Getting Kaleb involved and off to a good start in Q1 allows Iowa to use plus yardage situations to their advantage. Cade will need to be accurate to the outside and I think Iowa must get Kaleb Brown involved across the middle. I would like to see Wetjen get a couple of touches in this game as well. Nothing crazy, but scheme for two maybe three touches and force Minnesota to play the full field against his speed. Also, Iowa has found success with the vertical passing game and will need to have that on Saturday, but in order for this to happen they need to establish a run game early with Kaleb and Jazz. I think Minnesota's front four can present a big challenge for Iowa, an area where we've shown to lack in communication and execution. We'll need an improved performance collectively from the big boys up front to run the ball.

In the end, I like Iowa's ability to respond to the early non-conference woes we've seen. Uncharacteristically, Iowa has given up the explosive plays and performed well below special teams standards at times. I believe there is good veteran leadership in all phases (O/D/ST) and we see Iowa take another small step forward going in to the bye week. Forecast looks like possibility of steady rain in the evening on Saturday. I like Iowa's veteran defense to look much improved over week 3 and Iowa pulls out a close 16-10 win in Minneapolis.

Still think you guys should be analysts. Great stuff. I think we have to give them a good dose of run, and then hit them deeper than say 15:yards. If they move up to cover the run, we will have the chance to get Gill and Brown going down field, also Wetjens across the middle.

Excellent ‘cast men! One of your best. Love the enthusiasm. Great detail in the analysis. But no prediction Kyle?! Pretty clear lean, but gotta give us a score 😁 16-13 is terrifying! 😵‍💫 Weather factor?

Go Gophs! MaxAir Brosmer is hitting DJ Catch all day. Handoffs to Diesel Taylor for TDs. Killer Koi Pond with the return game skills to put Iowa to shame (fair catch rules y’all). Barandowski Bearing down on y’all. Marcus Major Yardage racking up 1st downs. The Dragon Kesich is going to have a dominate FG game. Can’t wait

Love the podcast. Look forward to it every week. Disagree with a lot of what you say at times too. For example, we have had very solid running backs in the past 10 years Akrum Wadley and Tyler Goodson. Don't forget them. They were both far better than Coker or Hampton. Also give some more credit to that Ross kid from Troy. That kid was clearly a stud imo. Extremely dynamic athlete. I wont be surprised if hes an all sun belt wr. They tried to get him the ball as often as possible. Exactly what we should be doing with caleb brown and wetjen in the passing game. My last point is Cade does not have a strong arm at all. He threw it 45 yards on a hail mary and has very little zip on the ball. Anyway keep up the good work. Go Hawks!

Excellent episode as always gentleman. Hopefully, Phil has the secondary ready to play this week. No more big plays would be nice. If the Hawks are able to keep the momentum going in the run game, we should win. Hawks 27, Goophers 16.

I think these guys are overvaluing Athans legs and undervaluing Brosmer as a thrower. The UNC game was vastly different in presentation vs the next 2 games. Really good breakdown, go Gophers

What are the odds this game ends like 13 to 10? I'd say 99 percent.

Cade is going to have to play his best game so far this season to get the W. Don’t underestimate home field advantage and it being a night game. Hawks 24-20.

21:33 It’s not a big deal, unless you’re Iowa, that’s literally all it took for the dumb ass Gophers to beat us last year. That’s literally the only kind of points they scored 😂. Now Cade and Tim Lester are way different than Deacon and Brian Fartentz, but still, this is Iowa we’re talking about

Is it just me or are we barely playing Kaleb Brown think I only saw him like 5 times the whole game vs Troy and even less vs Iowa st? Need to use him more
