Caption Writing

This is a nice video to show the basic process of writing a caption.  I am a 17 year yearbook advisor and judge for CSPA and wanted to point out that when writing a caption you need to make the first sentence in present tense and anything after that in past tense.  Even though the subject in the photo took place in the past, it is considered present tense in the photo.  If you can interview the people in the photo, be sure to add a direct quote ending it with the person's last name and said (ex. Smith said.) or you can you start the quote the same way.  Best to you in journalism!
