well, theres a difference between just playing thousands of hours for fun and practicing a game for thousands of hours to actually get better and get into esports. but to me, it doesn't really matter, you should just do whatever makes you happy. you could play minecraft for like 20.000 hours, if you had fun doing this, not a single second is "wasted" to me. people really need to realize that life's not about having many different hobbies or spending a lot time outside, life is about being happy to me, and you should do what makes you happy (school/work helps you to be able to remain being happy). you should give other things than playing video games a try, though. you gotta gain experience and make sure that you find the right things in life that really make you the most happy.

I love playing video games. It makes me so happy coming home from school everyday getting on with my friends and just having a good time. My parents think that I'm addicted although I only play 2 hours on weekdays and 6 or more on weekends. They think I'm addicted too but the truth is its the only thing I'm good at. Anyway, my parents took away my computer because I had one zero on my report card. This zero was a homework grade from when I was sick. They took away my power cord and everything and even my phone. I found out where they hid the power cord so I woke up in the middle of night and play for like an hour or 2. I do this not because I'm addicted but because I just love gaming. Its really messed up my sleep and when I get home from school all I can now is sit in front of a wall and do nothing. Honestly, I'm lucky if I can go on my phone for 10 minutes. Sure, I could just go outside but In this day and age no one goes outside anymore. Not being able to play video games has actually made me lazier and I'm more antisocial. My reaction time and planning is also much slower now. I used to talk to my friends online, we got together in a csgo match and had fun and did it again the next day. Without my computer really I never see those good friends and I'm so tired I just don't want to be so outgoing at school. My mom needs me to be perfect and if I make one mistake I get everything taken away. I havnt felt "fun" in over 9 weeks.

My mom sees me like an addicted person to computers at all. Many people do so, actually. But I don't get why. Think of it this way; Someone loves books, so he reads hundreds of books almost every minute of his spare time. That is okay. Some other guy loves football. He is always out, playing football. That is okay Me? I love technology. I use to sit by PC 8+ hours per day. Is it okay? Apparently not, because I am just an addicted idiot who needs medical treatment.

Even on top of that, my mum used to ban PC for my when I got bad grades. Like some sort of punishment. I was reading a lot before I got into computers, and with bad grades nothing happened. No banned reading for me. Now I can just wonder, what is the difference.
