- Math object is a built in object, contains mathematical functions and constants.
Math Constants:
- PI : Number
- E: Number
Math Functions:
sign(value:Number):Number
- Returns sign of the given value,
- if the given value is +ve returns 1, if it is -ve returns -1 else it returns 0.
abs(value: Number):Number
- Returns the absolute value (+ve) of the given value
sqrt (value: Number):Number
- Returns the square root of a given value
pow(value1:Number,value2:Number):Number
- Returns the result of value1raise to the power of value2
max(value1:Number, value2:Number, ....):Number
- Returns the maximum of zero or more values
min(value1:Number, value2:Number, ....):Number
- Returns the minimum of zero or more values
round(value:Number):Number
- Rounds the given value to the nearest integer and returns it
ceil(value:Number):Number
- Returns the smallest integer, greater than or equal to the given value
floor(value:Number):Number
- Returns the greatest integer, smaller than or equal to the given value
trunc(value:Number):Number
- Returns the integer part of the given value, discards its fractional part
sin(angle:Number):Number
- Returns the sine of a give angle in radians
cos(angle:Number):Number
- Returns the cosine of a given angle in radians
atan2(y:Number,x:Number):Number
- Returns the angle (in radians) of a point,
random():Number
- Returns a pesudo-random number between 0 and less than 1
Example Code:
d.w(Math.PI);
d.w(Math.PI * 180/Math.PI);
d.w(180 * Math.PI/180);
d.w(Math.E);
// atan2 returns angle from -180 to 180
// getting angle from 0 to 360
// random returns random number between 0 and less than 1
// getting radom value between 1 and 10
