Mind-blowing btw.. Didn't know dex was capable of all this.. All this time, I was of the impression that dex is simply a extension of the phone UI mirrored to a larger display with a USB hub for addition of peripherals.

I like the Dex, my pc bit the dust about 3 or 4 months ago, and i have been using the dex ever since , some things i love about it, i just plug my S8+ into the dex and about 15 seconds later it is up and running, my old pc took about a minute to fire up :) .
I love the fact that if i take photos or video during the day, i just plug into the dex and view everything on my wide screen monitor straight away, no uploading to the pc, and i can make and take phone calls using my bluetooth speaker, the phone speaker, do most of things you do with a smart phone.
i will have to look into the dex app to open up all apps to full screen (thanks mr computer solutions ) as out of the box there are the odd ones that only open into smart phone mode window size .
having said that, some of them you can also do a work around by loading the app into chrome or samsungs browser.
i suspect the note 8 having 6 gb of ram and i think slightly higher clock speed ? ( ( any thoughts on this Mr Computer Solutions ? ) may run the intensive programs just a slight bit better, but imo the s8 and plus still do the job very well .
thanks for showing off the dex capabilities sir .

That is pretty cool. I thought of getting a new Windows laptop or tablet. But after watching this I'm convinced to buy a Windows desktop PC rather than laptop or tablet, then I can just remotely connect to it with my Samsung Chromebook Pro and my Galaxy Note 8. This allows me to play both mobile and Steam games on my Chromebook and Note 8 whenever I want. I can also use other Windows software like the full version of Microsoft Office. THANK YOU!

Great review. Its almost like they dont want the world to know how powerful these phones are. I'm still rocking a Note 8 a year old using a 32$ 7 in 1 dex adapter with card readers in it. Laptop, desktop, camera, camcorder, phone, compass, emergency locator, what do these phones not do? You can pay bills, shop, grocery shop. Its absolutely amazing what the cloud, mixed with ssd or flash memory & really strong hardware packed into a paper thin glass covered machine can do. The Samsung dex makes It all possible. Like I said, I swear they didnt push it because it wasn't fully developed & imagine the profit losses after everyone finds out all that you need is a prepaid company with unlimited data & a chromecast. You can buy hulu with a prepaid gift card or youtube tv for 40 a month. Your cable & phone together 90$. Big techs worse nightmare. Comcasts & every cable providers biggest nightmares. Then to compartmentalize all of the entities into one 700$ machine that works better than the big lunky machinery of just a few years back is amazing. It all started for me when I bought a surface rt 1. Then the rt 2. Then the yoga book 8gigs ram i5. Then the surface pro 3 & a note 5 in the same month & wow. That was 2015. Alot has happened since & dex is the future. Unfortunately it seems like until it has been further developed it will be the daily driver of the cracked screen s8 or above for a small timetable. Either way the only way with dex or similar adapters is up

Hey Eric another great video. I have an Apple magic keyboard. Do you think it would be a good fit to keep a port open on the dex for extra features? Or would it not be compatible?

Nice video mate. Could you put up a little video on using a printer within the DeX system please mate? I use an epson printer hooked up to a main computer but was wandering if it's possible to use it within DeX. I use my printer/scanner mainly to send digital files but Im not sure if I could do this with DeX. Many thanks

Man!!! Thx lot Eazy Computer Tech this review such a great help, I always wondering how to maximize Dex since I already had Note 8, I asked a few couple questions on my local community but most of them just suggest that I should buy a Laptop/PC, but after watched your video I think dex can handle my daily task, not a heavy stuff like adobe or etc, just a casual user right here... Already liked your video and subscribed, thx mate ;)
