Success Story: More operating years for particle accelerator via process control modernisation

One of the largest particle accelerator laboratories in Europe operates within the premises of the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. The former 30-year-old control system of the particle accelerator needed to be replaced in order to support the future objectives of the institute. Klinkmann, Authorized Distributor of Rockwell Automation solutions, was selected as the partner for this exceptionally large project. The long and complex project containing close to 2,000 I/O points was finalized in the early summer of 2020.
