Nearly nine years ago this stuff came out, and I keep coming back to it. This is still the hallmark of CG animation for me. We have plenty of much more flashy, glitzy, detailed, and robust 3D animation today, but few things compare to the foreboding atmosphere, mystery, and excitement that these secret trailers brought. The music is nothing short of perfect, too.

This reflects the games and gameplay pretty well IMO. Terra is a Glutton for punishment and wants to be the big brother that protects everyone. Aqua is the glue trying to hold the group together and get them out of there alive. And Ventus is the younger sibling that is trying to help but ends up in over his head.
