Viserys walking into the halls, to save his daughter one last time, is the most epic scene. Goosebumps as you feel so sorry for him, yet his presence is so powerful. Hats off to paddy who played him.

When Viserys walked through the door, I started crying. He was literally falling apart, but he heard his daughter beg for his help so he mustered everything that he had left in him to do so. You just see the immediate relief wash over Rhaenyra just by seeing him there. He’s not the best King, but he loves Rhaenyra so much, has always supported her happiness and would do anything for her, and Paddy's performance really touched my heart today.

Paddy Considine did an amazing performance as King Viserys. I applaud his acting in this series. He will be missed. That being said i will also miss his character Viserys. I dont care if people say he was a weak king, he was a Targaryen who’s coin landed on the good side. He was a good person and such a caring father to Rhaenyra, he truly loved his daughter and protected her.

Viserys coming into that throne room was the highlight of the episode for me. That alone was deserving of an emmy. Ironically King Viserys' strongest moment was when he was literally at his weakest. That walk to the throne room you know had to be the longest walk of his life but he did it for his daughter because she needed her daddy and he showed up.

As a book fan, I feel the depth that Paddy Considine and the writers gave to King Viserys was the most rewarding gift of them all. What a stunning role and performance. I truly hope Paddy wins all the awards possible.

Episode 8 was insanely sad. Everything Viserys wanted was for his family to be happy and united. Even in his dying breaths, this was his only desire. And even still, it breaks apart immediately as he is the only thing that held it together.

That moment of Viserys dropping the crown and Daemon picking it up and helping him onto the throne was the most emotional moment this season with huge difference 😭

I seriously didn’t expect such a good show after GOT season 8. Really well done and hats off to HBO for bringing these stories to life.

Viserys entry on the throne room brought me tears. He also proved that he has the dragon blood and once a dragon always a dragon.

Honestly, what literally made me cry the most: When Daemon helped Viserys up the stairs in the throne room, I instantly started crying. It was the first real time we got to see them together where they weren't fighting, or hating each other, where they realized that life is fleeting, and Viserys deserved a not a consort to the king, but a brother in that moment. The other time I cried was when Viserys got but a few fleeting moments of what he thought would be his families finally getting along and turning a new leaf. And knowing the horrors that fell the Valeryons and the Targareyns (I never spell their name right), makes all the more sadder.

Those who stood by their dying fathers know that Paddy's portrayal was so amazing and believable that it broke our hearts. I know it did mine, it brought back all the memories of my father being eaten alive by cancer. He deserves all the awards on this earth

I cannot stress enough how much Paddy Considine HAS to get an Emmy. I'm gonna be mourning Viserys for a while. What an amazing character. Credit to both Paddy and the writers for giving so much more character to Viserys' character compared to his one-dimensional book counterpart.

That throne room scene was such a masterpiece. It depicted so many subtle nuances. Especially between Daemon and Viserys. Daemon helping him up the last few stairs and placing the crown upon his head shows that despite their differences, Daemon was always true to his brother and his family. Then almost immediately followed by Vaemond's act of treason and Viserys drawing the blade to have Daemon serving as an extension of his hand deliver the swing. Also symbolizing that Daemon was always meant to be hand of the king for Viserys and that he needed somebody who can make the hard choices for him. Viserys' biggest mistake was casting out his brother. All Daemon said to him back in E01 was the truth.

Visery's dinner speech really hit home for me. Especially when he said "if not for your king, then for this old man." Insanely well done.

Paddy Considine as King Viserys was simply amazing! I couldn't imagine anyone else playing this role. The scene where he showed up at the throne room unexpectedly floored me. The love he bore his daughter was fierce and powerful, and I think an extension of the neverending love he held for his true love Aemma. Even on his deathbed, he showed up for Rhaenyra. I think Daemon gained a new respect for Viserys during this scene. After once calling him a weak king, Daemon now began to understand the mental and emotional strength it took to hold a kingdom together. It took more than just brute strength. Viserys mental strength gave him physical strength at a time when no normal human being would have such strength. Daemon could only acknowledge this side of his brother that he never knew. I think he was amazed by it. It was very sad to see Viserys go. I hope Paddy is nominated and wins an award for his performance as King Viserys. This was definitely a tv royalty performance!

I lost my father three years ago to cancer. Needless to say, Paddy's performance as Viserys during his final hours struck me hard. Kudos to Paddy and the writers!
