Very interesting episode. The thing that strikes me about all of Phil's offerings is that each of them required work to meet the needs of the family. To be frank, for me it was the kitchen/dining space that killed all of them. The last one, that they loved, really needed a fresh start in the kitchen. The cooking area had too much floor space for the amount of work surface and the dining end of the room was not conducive to a very large gathering.
The work that was done to their own home was great. Personally I am not a fan of a fixed size table. A table with leaves to extend and contract as needed is much easier to live with. Two 18 inch self-storing leaves in the middle and another at each end, meaning a possible 72 inch extension for really large groups, would be super flexible and have the ability to seat half the town if need be.

I love these two! What remarkable people, and one of the things that's so great is that they take having some really questionable taste in furnishings with such good grace and a laugh and turn it right over to Kirstie to fix.

I would lose one bedroom to make a proper master
