Do you want to DO things in your game, or would you rather have a nice environment that you can't even move around in?

This is true if you want to be an all-in-one and really go all in on multi-hat developer which is absolutely doable with a lot of discipline, daunting, and slow.

I believe the true honest advice If you want to enter the industry is focus on learning what you want to do.
If you want to program learn programming languages and development.
If you want to game design learn structures and gameplay psychology.
If you want to Focus on User experience, learn visual design, branding and marketing.

No code is a great place to start, having technical limitations drive you to learn how to code makes it a lot more empowering and meaningful than just "learning to code"

Computer code is so difficult. I took a course in high school and did not understand a thing!

Tbh, for basic gameplay like platformers or shooters, a lot can be done by dragging and dropping inside of Unity.
You do/should understand how game logic work however

for things like environment it all depends on a good 3D software but for actual movement then it’s all in the code.

Edit: Even using a 3D software needs some sort of coding but not for all softwares.

Technically using blueprint in Unreal is also programming

Well you don't if you are working in a team and theyve shoved your unskillfull ass onto other tasks

I mean 3D modelling and art does take alot of skill to be fair
