I love it how Mario is just in the background gliding ‘till he gets hit by a flying object, then falls deep into the ocean while Sonic is visibly confused why there’s a two tailed fox in his territory.

This was a lot better than I initially had in mind, nice sprites and compression. My only complaint is the incorrect pixel sizing and mixeling, but really solid sprite remake of a timeless sonic short.

Mario exploding by the falling star caught me so off guard haha, least he has Tails with him in the water.

I like how when sonic comes on it plays just one line of the melody and when tails comes on it starts playing the harmonizing track as well, its a nice touch

I actually thought this was an actual romhack made just for an animation, well, before I saw Mario in the background as he was obviously a shrunk down sprite [He would've been only a few pixels tall if he was actually that small in-game]. Still though, it's really amazing how well this looks, and bonus points for making me believe this was actually in-game!
