Custom Tomy/Trackmaster Edward Side Rods (READ PINNED COMMENT)

That´s my Boy Edward. With a Extended Funnel, Open Cab for Figures and of Course, Accurate Side Rods. This one i do not recommend doing on the original Tomy/Trackmaster Edward Chassis Tho. For you have to sacrifice the traction tires to make it work and the front wheels are dummy ones and they dont even touch the ground So they need to be replaced with bigger ones, which will make the movement more difficult. He is the most rough runner of my fleet of toy trains because of this. If you wanna do this i highly recommend you to scratchbuild a new running board and chassis for a better peformance. Just showing him off here while i think about what to do next. ;)

The thing I think that impressed me most (aside from the siderods, obviously) is the Opened cab!
With the cab opened does he still run or did you have to remove the motor to make room for the crew?

Be careful, they have to point the same direction ALL THE TIME, or else ot will jam or the side rods will break

It’s cool that the side rods are accurate, but the model can’t move by it’s self
