Before the city tour, I heard a returning passenger make a derogatory comment about her experience. I totally disagree and wish I could have lived there myself. The extreme cost of living would have made that impossible but the charm and sense of community spirit was inspiring. What a treasure! Thoroughly enjoyed the historical dances and raptor sanctuary. A highlight of my cruise experience there May 2023.

I’m confused about the Castle Hill view of Sitka Sound, there doesn’t appear to be anything like that on Google Maps.

The video's footage is really misleading in places, mountainous shots of Harbor Mountain lookout is meant to convey Castle Hill, which is downtown and overlooks the bridge. The coffee shops in the video are neither the Highliner or Backdoor Cafe or any other in Sitka. The footage is not of the Sitka History Museum, it is not that large and there are no dinosaur exhibits there.
