Novavax's Gregory Glenn, MD, talks about company's coronavirus vaccine candidate (Live 2/24)

Gregory M. Glenn, MD, is the president of research and development at vaccine maker Novavax, whose COVID-19 vaccine candidate is the first to demonstrate clinical efficacy against the original coronavirus and both of the variants first identified in the U.K. and South Africa. If approved, the Novavax vaccine will be the first protein-based vaccine available, and the company is already working on an updated version of the vaccine to test against the new variants. Washington Post national health-care policy reporter Paige Winfield Cunningham interviews Glenn on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 12:00pm ET.

This vaccine is awesome. The idea is so neat that it is really beautiful (like bach..everything fits into place neatly). This in my opinion the best vaccine in the world right now. And even if the phase 3 trials are going on, I believe that it is worth it to get a jab.

Ah my mistake I forgot that their African study branch tested on previously infected persons as opposed to other vaccines not doing the same. That’s something super important to evaluate

Where is the public concern with these deaths following vaccinations? I am fed up hearing correlation does not mean causation but at the very least they must be investigated. I am also stunned by the complete apathy regarding this situation from the Governments and the general public. We have shut society down and curtailed our freedoms to protect vulnerable aged groups but have very little reaction to sudden increase in deaths following vaccinations. I sometimes feel I am living in the twilight zone!

New research from Japan and spoken about by Dr Bridle is that they have discovered it is the spike protein that is toxic and causing issues by staying in the blood and getting into organs including ovaries. So, my question is, will this Novavax one be any different as it also uses spike protein?
