Thinking about Dave and all of the Foo Fighters out there right now. The world has lost a gem of a human being and poor Dave has tragically lost a band mate for a second time. Rest In Peace Mr. Hawkins, you will be sorely missed but remember forever as the guy that one of the greatest drummers of all time wanted as his drummer.

I was watching this last night in absolute awe of Taylor's performance, unaware of the horrendous news of his passing, presumably at around the same time. I was always blown away by the power and personality he had behind the kit, especially when I had the fortune of seeing him live at Reading Festival 2019 with my dad. That drum solo is forever burned into my memory! Another of my favourite bands, Chvrches, were playing at the same time and I'm so glad that we chose to see Foo Fighters on that occasion, as it's the only chance I ever got to see Taylor perform! Beyond his incredible skills, he seemed like a very humble and charismatic guy and I can't imagine the pain of those close to him right now, be it his family, friends or bandmates. It's even more horrific that this happened so shortly before a show. What a terrible loss.
