Turning Point Oration 2019 - Nick Lintzeris

Professor Nick Lintzeris presented the 2019 Turning Point Oration - 'Prescription drug problems and solutions, and the promise of Medical Cannabis.'

Professor Lintzeris is the Director of Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Services in South East Sydney Local Health District. He is an Addiction Medicine specialist who has been involved for over two decades in clinical service delivery, research, professional education, and policy activities in the field. He is internationally recognised as an expert in the treatment of opioid dependence and has clinical and research interests in benzodiazepine, cannabis and psychostimulant use.

Turning Point's Symposium and Oration 2019 focused on the promises and pitfalls of prescription medications, and the related policy and clinical opportunities and challenges. It was held on 4th December 2019 at Turning Point Richmond.
