Converting Degrees to Radians

In trigonometry you often have to convert degrees to radians and convert radians to degrees. There are formulas that textbooks tell you to use, but WHY do they work the way that they do? In this short video we'll set up a proportion between degrees and radians and quickly solve for the unknown radian. This method can also be used to convert radians to degrees. The most important thing is to know that degrees and radians are proportionally equivalent and you can use basic algebra to find either the missing degree or the missing radian.
