i own a 2017 Forester (SJ model) and its one of the best cars I have owned. Very reliable and comfortable; it is stable at high speed and can do soft off roading. I have driven it to south thailand and many road trips up north.

MI should just bring in the 1.8T JDM spec from Japan. This 2.0 NA and 2.0 Mild Hybrid makes zero sense. Not only the latter two are underpowered but also incurred higher road tax. Not to mentioned the latter required additional maintenance costs due to mild Hybrid tech. If you're looking for fuel savings, just go up the north and pump. 😎

compared to rivals, i think this is one of the best choices, the outlander is front wheel drive only and costs about 180k now, that car's specs isn't the best, quite low spec. this forester is supposed to come with a 2.5 NA boxer four for most markets but this is the 2.0 NA boxer four with hybrid, gt edition with all the bodykit looks worse to be honest, the wilderness trim looks the best, but we unfortunately do not have that

The CVTs tend to give a whining tone and rubber band effect..they should stick to conventional torque converter gear boxes ..so Subaru...blahhhh
