In our last video, we took a detailed look at Asetek SimSports new Sim Racing ecosystem. We analyzed the build quality, user experience and of course the driving experience with their flagship Invicta 27NM wheelbase.

In today's video, we're putting the cheaper Forte (18NM) wheelbase head-to-head with the Invicta to see exactly where the best value can be found.

As a 2 simcube pro owner this makes me excited to see the competition getting comparable, obviously comes down to filters and your own likes, but honestly all you need is 14-18 NM of trq. Can’t wait to try this wheel base out myself.

With Asetek, Moza, Simagic and VRS now is an exciting time for sim racing hardware with so many new players producing top level gear.

The new Asetek wheelbases while did note few QC concerns, reviewed well. From your review, it sounds like Asetek is doing their homework and being open to the community for feedback and that's good to hear from a manufacturer. I like what I've watched and hope for further enhancements. Currently, I'm running the SC2 Sport wheelbase and it's still meeting my wants/needs/expectations for a good wheelbase and see no reason to change anytime soon. Thanks for the comparison and review Boosted Media.

I think the point is being missed, that no one is running their wheel at a constant 18-20nm of force. The reason you're feeling more detail with the Invicta is because the added NM threshold allows it to have a higher slew rate and give it more headroom for effects. If you're running your wheel at 15nm the Forte only has 3nm of headroom for spikes and effects, the Invicta has 13nm to play with.

Wait... are you saying there's something out there better than my Moza R9!? 😲

Tried both at ADAC Sim Expo 2022 In Germany. The felt extremely lite to me but they were buttery smooth. I generally run 12 nm holding, Asetek had these set at 4nm. I was able to quickly adapt to the 4nm easy and match my lap times to my dd1. I could see myself moving from my dd1 to one of Aseteks wheel and pedals sets.

Just watched this again as now have a Forte wheelbase. You mention looking at settings of the Forte wheelbase and trying to get as close as possible to how the the Invicta felt. Could you please share them? Also can we have some info on how you then setup the FFB ingame? (AMS2/ACC)
Cheers and keep up the good work

As a new Forté wheel base owner I would actually love to see a double blind test with Invicta and Forté. Good content!

I really loved my forte wheel and wheelbase the last four days, but I had a problem where if I went over 4 Nm torque the force feedback will turn off, and I would get a message that said "Voltage too low" so after mailing back and forward with Asetek they have said I need to send it back to so they can test and check it.

but even at 4 Nm torque, it was way better than the Logitech g920 I had previously, so can't wait till I get it back

For me, the 8nm on the DD Pro is the sweet spot, especially coming from a Thrustmaster T-GT

I wish you did cover Simagic stuff, whatever happened in the past between you and the company. I think Asetek and Simagic are the two most interesting companies right now and Simagic looks very promising with the great wheels and similar price points as Asetek. For me, the Forte and Simagic Alpha are in the pole position right now, but info on the Alpha in 2023 is very scarce and Asetek is still very young, it's tough to decide on anything. I think it would help a ton of people to compare both in 2023 with the updated Simagic software etc

it would be interesting to make a video dealing with the simucube pro 2, the DD2, the moza R21... all the DDs in this range... ;)

That wheel is beautiful. People hate it but I think it’s the best looking.

Will, thank you for both this video and the full length Invicta review. I watched both back-to-back and it was great info. I'm going to keep my Invicta bundle order, but having seen the issues you pointed out, I now know what kind of issues to watch out for, and will be a bit more conservative in recommending the new wheelbases to friends. I think the Asetek wheel & base is more suited to those who are willing to put up with a few early QC issues and the Simucube Pro is probably the better bet for the remainder.

I wish I could get a bundle with the Forte base and Invicta peddles!

Great review once again, please say to Asetek to make this Forte console compatible.

Will, in your updated VRS review, you said that they have the most realistic inertia setting. Is this on par with that?

Appreciate the vids, bro. Well detailed. Question.. would the upcoming Asetek quick release adaptor for 3rd party wheels mount to Fanatec's QR's bolt pattern? Thanks in advance
