I enjoyed "Swamplandia!" quite a bit. If you like magical realism and stories about girlhood, I think you'll like it. Enjoy your time in Florida!

I haven't read any of these books, so I have no opinions but I do look forward to hearing what you think of them. my tbr is just whatever the random spinner wheel tells me I'm going to read, or if a library hold comes in. sometimes if I hear a handful of people talking about the same book and I can get a hold of it, I will read that.

My TBR: Finish The Vanishing Half, Finish Spinning Silver, slog away at Crime and Punishment, read Northanger Abbey, and The Story of My Life (Helen Keller), and then something random from my physical TBR that I've picked up recently, like Babel.

Maybe you can recommend the first Becky Chambers novel I should pick up - my boyfriend loves her writing so I think we have all of them. I try to do a nice mix of literary fiction, fantasy, and classics. I've set myself to reading 90% of the Rory Gilmore reading list (some of it is like, 'Oxford English Dictionary, sooo) so that's the first place I go when picking what I read next, and get everything I can as epubs from Project Gutenburg so the Librera robot can read to me. 😅

I'm currently rereading all of the red rising series before getting to the new book that came out last week!! Planning on reading the Wayfarer series afterwards ♥️ the first one was so so good

I DNF'd Harrow, but I think it just wasn't the right time. It definitely requires concentration so on vacation seems like a good idea!

I spent my morning buying books today ^^ Among others I got "All Systems Red" by Martha Wells upon your recommendation 🙃 I'm not a sci-fi girly (yet), so I'm really excited to get to it!

Most of the time I buy ebooks, because they're cheaper and I don't have that much space, however... I finished "The Starless Sea" by Erin Morgenstern last night and it blew me away, so I ordered the physical copy together with her other book "The Night Circus" 🤩

I’m trying to do G from Bookroast’s magical readathon, so hoping to read 8 books this month! Currently listening to the Bandit Queens and really enjoying it! I’m planning to also read the world we make, which hopefully will be a good time as the city we became was one of the best audiobook experiences I’ve had!

I have several books on hold at the library that should come in within the next few weeks, such as "The Spite House" by Johnny Compton, "Rogue Protocol" by Marth Wells (love the Murderbot Diaries series), and "All Hallows" by Christopher Golden. I just finished "We Spread" by Iain Reid this morning and that was a 5-star read for me. I'm in the middle of reading Junji Ito's "Shiver, " CJ Leede's "Maeve Fly, " and Paul Tremblay's "The Beast You Are."
