The Quest is About To Get BOOSTED! Quest 3 Info, & Tons More!

In todays video I will be tellig you guys about the latest developments in the AR and VR space. We have alot of news to talk about as it has been a while since I have uploaded. Today we will start off by talking about the new Quest 2 and Quest Pro v55 update, which will give us a pretty large performance boost as well as the ability to boost the resolution. We will also talk about Best Buy leaking the Quest 3 preorder page and seemingly confirming the Quest 3s resolution. I also have news for you regarding Meta Quest gift cards now being available in more countries and Meta reducing the minimum age for entering VR. We will also talk about the Apple XR headset and how it will handle VR, as well as talking about its modularity. The Quest Pro is also getting a boost in its eye tracking cabilities, Meta will be showing off a new retinal resolution headset and the Valve index is at a very low price in Gamestop! Before you, I had no idea what VR/XR was. YOU entertained and educated me as I drove around the United States, convinced me to buy not one, but gave me a reason's to buy three oculusQuest 2. I am now a mobile v r enthusiast that does light modeling in blender using shadow on my devices. I currently am involved in active vr/xr communities that make the isolation of the open road considerably less. I have a better life. None of that would have ever happened without your hard work. Update is great, my headsets run awfully for the past year (had since release ) but now it feels brand new I can actually use 120hz for the first time without killing my experience

I think v55 might have added a heat warning, bc im just after getting one, despite my headset not being that hot.

A higher clock speed for the Quest 2 also means greater heat generation…
Heat generation was a problem for the Quest 1; I fitted an external fan to mine.

It is just that, you can have a headset that can show super realistic worlds and folk feel "immersed" then you can have games as Myst VR that have a retro look and still feel immersed, you can even have a platform like Second Life and feel immersed with that world thro the interaction with other people. Immersion do not need a supercomputer, it need fantasy, imagination, joy and a love for the world or game you play.

From a cynical point of view, you could say that they are only now releasing the restrictions on the Quest 2 that boost performance in that the hardware will deteriorate faster which will cause its userbase to upgrade to the Quest 3.
