A ukulele solo duet of Stone Cold Dead in the Market by Leonard Kaufer.
Here is a song by Wilmoth Houdini, aka Frederick Wilmoth Hodges, aka Edgar Leon Sinclair, aka King Houdini. He was a Carnival musician from Trinidad and Tobago who emigrated to New York where he remained a fixture through the 50s. His 1939 song "He Had It Coming" was a smash hit for Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Jordan in 1946 with the title "Stone Cold Dead in the Market."
According to Wikipedia's citation from an article in Popular Music and Society, Franklin Bruno argued that the comic treatment of the song allowed the musicians to raise the subject matter with "relative frankness."
