Companies who receive bailout money should not be allowed to buy back stock before they pay back the bailout money. I do not know if Chevron received bailout money a few years ago but many oil companies, the hotels, the airlines, did. Most of the banks paid back their mortgage crisis bailout money, but I don’t think the pandemic bailout money has been paid back.
