One thing we can agree upon is if you can buy your hardware from a local supplier (hour or so away) you may pay a few dollars more but the information you can get in that twenty minutes makes up for every extra dollar.

thanks a lot for the info. i will start beekeeping with 3 hives in Turkey. in here, different from yours, the honey supper has the same length with the lower suppers. also, when you put bee escaper to take honey suppers easilly, dont you make overcrowded the lower suppers?

my family has kept bees for generations. my dad learned from his father in law and now i'm hoping to pass the knowledge onto my kids.
we just got our first hives this probably biting off more than i can chew but the deal was too good to pass up.... $220 for eight active hives and 11 supers with frames.

it's all used and needs cleaning but i DO know that much lol what i don't know if how to actually handle them! my dad will be out in his bee yards in just tshirt, shorts and a ballcap moving them around and doing what he does and all i can do it just watch in awe. i've helped with extracting honey and cleaning up boxes and frames but that's where my experience ends..
pray for me lol hopefully it's not as difficult as it sound and appears. i have been stung by plenty of wasps but so far never by any bees. i know... it's inevitable lol

hi bee whisperer. in my country (Turkey) some people suggest to use Corrugated fiberboard for inside bee smoker to burn fire. what material do you suggest? is corrugated fiberboard harmless? regards
