Dire Straits
Telegraph Road

"A long time ago came a man on a track
Walking thirty miles with a sack on his back
And he put down his load where he thought it was the best
Made a home in the wilderness
He built a cabin and a winter store
And he ploughed up the ground by the cold lake shore
And the other travellers came walking down the track
And they never went further, no, they never went back
Then came the churches, then came the schools
Then came the lawyers, then came the rules
Then came the trains and the trucks with their load
And the dirty old track was the Telegraph Road
Then came the mines, then came the ore
Then there was the hard times, then there was a war
Telegraph sang a song about the world outside
Telegraph Road got so deep and so wide
Like a rolling river"

I listen to this piece of music since my 12 years. I'"m 51. And what is incredible, unique for me is that : 1. I always close my eyes. 2. I never want this piece of music to end. I mean each time I hear the fade out, I'm thinking "wait but no !! The piano is raging, the drums are all free, let them go on for god's sake !!!". And everytime : 3. I play it a second time, because I think that I was not aware for some seconds during all the run. My favorite piece of music.

Hirmuista on langeta elävän Jumalan käsiin." - Heprealais kirje 10:26-31 Raamattu 1933/1938

Michigan History.

Telegraph Road was originally constructed as a telegraph access path and a shorter route connecting Dearborn and Flat Rock. Until the late 1910s, Telegraph remained a minor dirt road. Pardee Street was the original main road heading south out of Dearborn toward Flat Rock and Monroe.

. Really like Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler but this one did not grab of bored me hate to say. When I saw it was a 14 min song I just assumed it would be stellar.
There's a good bit of his music I still do not know, but I stumbled on "Cleaning My Gun" recently....and my damn socks off.
