Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) is Sly Stone's new memoir, written with Ben Greenman. In a conversation with Questlove (who wrote the book's Foreward), Ben explains how his 2009 novel, Please Step Back, ultimately led him to the story he always wished to tell—the life of Sly Stone. He also explains how late Roots manager Richard Nichols and Sly's friend and collaborator Arlene Hirschkowitz, played crucial roles in a series of events of a decade that led that to happening.

We been listening to Sly since we were babies, and have a number of his works on vinyl also, and we know each other and also played together during some of the darkest times of his life. Why I love Sly.. he always finds a way to laugh and smile. .. so genuine, and sometimes painfully genuine, though still manages to put the truth to a person with love.

Thanks for brining us this interview, Questlove! I have to admit that I've been a little apprehensive about Mr. Greenman helping out with Sly's new memoir, but now that I can see that he's a tried and true Sly Stoner, I'm 100% on board. Can't wait!
