My shining moment would be last week when I met a retired pilot who basically sparked the idea for me start on my way to get a pilot license. Tomorrow is literally my first day to meet my potential instructor I couldn't be more excited!

My Daddy's had flying in his blood forever! Since his uncles owned & piloted Pan Alaska flight was shot down in 1972, he's always had something in the air. Now a days it's the huge RC Helicopters and drones. 🤪 Maria, you are very inspiring, Congratulations ! 🤩

My husband is a pilot, and he too went to a "government funded" aviation school as of sorts. He was (actually still is, as he is in the reserves) an USAF pilot. So many of the commercial pilots here (especially main-line) tend to be former military pilots.

#myshiningmoment was when I told my parents I got a private pilot license. They were very concerned when I first told them about my trial flight a while back and in fact that turned into a bad argument. Me having a PPL was a complete surprise. I had to be very careful keeping secret about my training for over two years. 

But two years of flying, three years of starving, three part-time jobs during university were totally worth the feeling of trust and respect in your family eyes, when they sit with you in the cockpit and in fact my dad even had his own trial flight with a CFI ;)

Next #myshiningmoment will probably be when @Mariathepilot visits UK again and I'd get a chance to meet her ;)
