Welcome back to Swiftlessons for another jazz guitar tutorial. In today's session we'll take our rhythm and lead guitar playing to the next level by learning a routine that seamlessly connects the two elements. We'll begin this lesson by reviewing some basic music theory before mastering beautiful chord melody phrases. Let's get started!

Thanks for posting this. About 40 years ago my guitar teacher had me improvising studies like this and I used them for many years as a part of my daily practise. Your lesson serves as a reminder to me to look to what worked in the past. I have been in a musical rut for a while. (I have played for 45 years and still get ruts from time to time.) This lesson may be just what I need to prevent the rut becoming a trench.
This is a valuable study to use on any new song. Or any old one for that matter.
