Thanks so much! Great information. I am looking for my "niche" as a Part 107 Pilot, this gives me some encouragement!

Great advice. I'm just topped $13, 000 with 1864 clips. I have a about 4-6 clips that sell all the time. One thing I know I need to do is get more people in my portfolio.

A few questions and a comment.
First the comment. Good job keeping at it. It is a slow journey and worth it in the end and continues to grow for sure. You are an example of that.

Before I get to my questions. I personally have been getting back into production after being out of it because of a career change. My fiancée and I have great opportunity to be full time RV living. She sold her house a year ago and since September of 2022, we have been on the road. Travelled several states so far, seen a lot of national and state parks. I do take time to film what I can. I do a lot of timelapse and basic stock type shots. I have two cinema cameras (BMPCC 4K's) and a basic DSLR. There is a big challenge in promoting me as a business doing filmmaking, editing, VFX, etc because we mobile and not stationary. So I thought I could at least focus a lot of what I do in the stock footage game as well.

I signed up for Pond5, Adobe Stock and Blackbox. I haven't really dove full in yet because I am getting my footage organized and processed. Tons of clips in can already.

Questions:

1) For someone like me, would it be worth going to each agency site and submitting content rather than sharing the profits with Blackbox, etc?

2) Is it possible to make this a fulltiime job being as I travel all over the US shooting video with my three cameras and my cell phone constantly?

3) I have my own model release for my business and it basically states I can use the content shot for anything. Have you shot any content of unique situations and have a model release ready via digital and explain what you are doing? And where they ok with it?

Thanks again and I just subscribed to your channel. Good job!!

I made bout $200k in my peak year, but it has been downhill since. Now I only make less than half of that with 2x clips. Many top contributors quit or sold their clips in the last few years. It's not a very sustainable business now.
