Vision of Escaflowne - A girl in Gaia Vs Maaya Sakamoto - Kiseki no umi

Hello all.

Thought I'd quickly make a relatively easy AMV before doing a more complicated project. I have always wanted to start a project with this song, preferrably based on a fantasy medieval world similar to the Record of Lodoss War franchise. The Vision of Escaflowne fitted that quite well.

Why the film and not the series you ask? Like I said earlier. I wanted to make something relatively easy and quick. Fine, the series may be superior to the film itself, but being an OVA the art style is very raw and reminds me of old school anime.

I also had to learn a lot about codecs prior to making this video. Actually this is my first AMV on my Windows 7 Pro OS; for some reason the film editing software would not allow me to open up certain files. I now use the .dv format for editing.

One thing you should note though, I will never *ever* do lip synching again. Took me an hour to get the lip sync segment in the clip and even then, it is barely passable. The effort almost broke me too (was close to tears with frustration).

you know what, after seeing this, I totally support the people who did The Record of Lodoss War getting together with the people who did this movie and making a cross series, THAT is one anime that i would watch no doubt.

I really thought this amv was disappeare... Thanks I mistaken... Jajajaja. I love so much Kiseki no Umi and Escaflowne, that this amv was dñthe perfecto combination.... Thanks u for created it.
