You know what I like about Clay? He never seems annoyed when he’s on camera. You know how some Bf seems mad, upset or just uninterested being on camera? Clay seems so nice and chill and down to earth.

Btw, How are you guys enjoying Texas so far? Do you miss NY at all?

I'm not even the author but I'm Swedish so I'm a bit proud for the book going so well in the translation 😇😇😇

I read A Man Called Ove earlier this year, and I was a sobbing mess. Still my favorite book of the year so far. I’m even tearing up just hearing you talk about it 😭❤️

I was a bit worried about reading “A Man Called Ove” since I’ve suffered with depression and Suicidal Ideation since I was a child. But I was really surprised by how uplifting the book was. And how humorous. :-)
I’m currently reading “My Grandmother Said to Tell You that She was Sorry.”

Loving this format where you've mixed your reading with little daily vlogs snippets! Hope to see more in the future

GIRL! you need some of that sweet chili sauce for those rolls! Also they are great for making a bunch and leaving them in the fridge, they last for a few days! I LOVE homemade spring rolls! Also roll up a small rectangle of that seaweed in there too! Chefs KISS! 😗

Know My Name by Chanel Miller is such a great audio book!
You could feel the emotion behind her words and I am so grateful for my coworker for recommending the audiobook for the experience🤍

I’ve read just about all of Backman’s translated books, and Ove and Beartown are at the top of the list for me. He’s such a gifted writer and is incredible at bringing nuanced characters to life. The translations are so well done; they’re seamless. Yes, all the love for audiobooks. They allow me to read about four times more books a month than I otherwise could. ❤️

A Man Called Ove is my favorite book of all time I’m so glad you read it ☺️ If you haven’t read his other books I really recommend Anxious People and his novella (And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer), they’re both a similar writing style to Ove.

Beartown is also GREAT but very different from
his other books☺️

Clay holding up the mushroom and not knowing what dad joke he wanted to make made me crack up so much, HAHAHA. Watching this on my Monday morning and your vlog is instantly making my day so much brighter. :) Thank you for sharing these snippets of your life, I'm feeling so anxious and stressed with a lot of things going on in my life and your videos and love for reading remind me there's small things in life to look forward to.

I love all books by Backman. He’s a master story teller and character developer. I fall in love with everyone he creates.

Unpopular opinion: Taylor Jenkins Reed’s stories are okay but her writing style is so cheesy, I can’t take it. Reading Malibu Rising right now, my second book by her (first being “Seven Husbands”), and I’ll likely discontinue buying/reading her books 😞

When you were talking about an emotional chapter in Malibu Rising, I knew exactly which one you were taking about before you said the year. I cried when I read that chapter

i’m SO happy to see that you enjoyed a man called ove so much! backman’s writing is truly special and i think that you’ll find that remains true for most of his works. personally i think beartown might be his best out of the ones i’ve read thus far at least, but at this point his books have become ones that i save for the right moment, because they’re just That Good!! and i know that whenever i pick one up, it’s unlikely that it will let me down. (and their reread value is great as well!!)
