As a former trumpeter and current drummer, that timing is astonishing. And it’s all short staccato notes with relatively long gaps, so there’s nowhere to hide timing mistakes - there’s been a *lot* of practice just synchronising everyone’s internal metronomes for this.

I have no idea how to possibly explain it, but this just gives me nostalgia from my freshman year of high school (I'm a senior currently). I'm a very nostalgic guy so stuff like this, especially at night, hits me hard. I love this sequence, it just sounds so good. I too am trying to increase my range. This is heavenly nostalgia.

I always wonder where these DCI musicians go in the music world, because it’s genuinely amazing intonation and hard work here, but I rarely hear any stories of DCI members continuing in various sectors of the music industry. If anyone knows examples I’d love to hear them because these guys are fierce players!
