‘We don’t want activism in the classroom’: Sarah Henderson criticises school curriculum

Shadow Education Minister Sarah Henderson says the Labor government is using the school curriculum to “indoctrinate children”.

Ms Henderson told Sky News host Peta Credlin that they should be focussing on “educating them”.

“Get back to basics, focus on improving our literacy and numeracy.

“The standards are just not good enough in our country.

“We don’t want activism in the classroom.”

Sarah, you need to keep the pressure on because the Australian curriculum has already been hijacked by indigenous issues. It is now through every subject including languages.

Whose truth? We voted the voice to parliament down. It failed. The Australian people didn't want it or anything that went with it.That should be the end of the truth telling and treaty process. Stop forcing this on our children. Australians should be proud of our country and her history, culture and achievements. We focus on climate change, trashing Australia, push LGBTQ ideology and lining up for any protest that is going on. We need to concentrate on numeracy, literacy and core subjects such as Science, History, Geography. The Education Department needs greater accountability to parents, students and the public. When 18 year olds can't effectively read, write or do basic arithmetic, the Education System needs a close review and complete overhaul.

Don't think you'll get away from this by sending your kids to a Catholic school. Every prayer, every assembly, every meeting begins with "We pay respects to the XXX people, the traditional custodians of this land as we make the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father (etc)".
And paying respect to elders past, present and emerging. How can we pay respect to past elders when we have no idea who they were or what they did, or present elders, who must own the chief responsibility for the dreadful state of their people. Emerging elders: how do you respect someone who hasn't been born? We all allowed an ideology to creep in by stealth and now sit back as it shouts at us every day.
