I just upgraded to the Mac mini from a late 2012 iMac and it’s like night and day. I got the basic m2 but upgraded the hard drive to 512 ssd for more storage. It’s so much faster than the old iMac.

for $1, 999, I would go for the Mac Studio M2 Max for the same price, with better GPU, RAM, more ports etc.

Apple did their mac mini pro buyers wrong. Once u start to spec up it’s the SAME price as the Mac Studio m2 max. Plus, for the same price, u get more gpu cores, double the memory bandwidth, better thermals and more
