Programming VW Golf, Passat, Cabrio key fobs in VW

Programming 2000 VW Cabrio key fobs. How to simply program a genuine VW key fob for Cabrio, Jetta, Golf with seperate fob from key.

Thank you! I used this video years ago to program my fob and lost my key set. I found lots of other videos and none worked but when I came upon this one again I knew it was the right one and my 2 fobs programmed without a hitch!

P.S. you don't need an old fob for this. Just the 2 fobs you want to use. And only 2 can be programmed to a car at a time.

Thank you! Nobody else's instructions worked except yours' on my mk3. Everyone else skipped the 2nd unlock for 10 seconds. Great post!

Hi. I only have one key. If I get another key cut, which won't start the engine as nt chipped but will turn electrics on once in ignition. Will that work? Thanks

If you only need one fob you could just swap the board from the old one to the new one.

U got that completely wrong well u said it wrong, u said unlock position twice it should have been lock position the second time
