Traxxas Monster Slash 4x4 VXL vs Arrma Big Rock Crew Cab 4x4 3S BLX 1/10 RC Trucks

Comparing my 1/10 scale Traxxas Monster Slash 4x4 VXL (LCG Chassis) to my Arrma Big Rock Crew Cab 4x4 3s BLX (Senton Chassis). Both are roughly the same size RC trucks, 4 wheel drive, brushless motor & ESC, lcg chassis, and more.

Throwing on some Monster Truck wheels and tires transforms the Slash to a Monster Slash, i.e. Long chassis Stampede 4x4.

Big Rock Crew Cab of course shares the same chassis as the Typhon, Senton and shorter wheelbase Granite.

So many similarities, yet so many differences. This video is long overdue!

VXL is My red Senton is faster on 2s than the VXL is on 3s lol..Its funny because all my Sentons are SUPER TIGHT..They don't rattle like your big rock..Strange.

You can use trx5525 rod ends to fix all the slop for 10 bucks on the Arrma ;)

Idk dude... my big rock doesnt make those weird souds... maybe you broke something . And it handle much better than slash. Slash (and senton ofc) will roll over each time you take sharp turn, while big rock is so stable even in high speeds. I couldnt even drift slash on the dirt, cause it keeps rooling over.

Great review! Seems both have pros and cons. If you were starting with just a roller, would you start with the slash or BRCC? Thinking the best combo may be a slash with Brcc motor/electronics.

Exchange the bushings for bearings in the bellcrank in the arrma and its much better. The hr bellcrank will fix it the rest of the way. The arrma design of their shocks are way better. Self bleeding. Maybe ur seals were improperly seated at factory. In my opinion, u get so much more bang for ur buck with arrma. Nice review.

Take them out and run them, guarantee the slash breaks first!! Slash is a outdated platform that is extremely overpriced imho. I have a granite and a typhon and neither have that problem you are showing. After switching from traxxas to arrma I will never go back. Hopefully you can get that slop fixed. That's really weird.

Idk man thats close an its.hard cus I love my rustler 4x4 an the rustler 4x4 is dam.near a slash but dif shock tower an body post but it's freaking close it's def a competitor for traxxas for sure.an I called traxxas yesterday an was gonna order some shock mount screws an I ended up ordering bearing for the rear an he sent me the shock screws an the rear bearing set for free fucking sweet but idk if they do that regularly or it was just a lucky call but probs to traxxas for the free stuff an with that being said idk if I wanna get a big rock but then I argue with my self about get one no don't vise versa lol great comparison vid an the slop tops off ur shocks I noticed when mine where low they did that??

Grease the o-ring in the shocks. The one that seals the oil in. I have done it to all 4 and no more leaks. I used marine grease and I know green slime works too. I was also frustrated but it worked. I also picked up a shock rebuild kit and noticed the o-rings are a little softer than the stock ones so that will help as well.

Also I can see the battery plug on the esc helping make that noise but I still could see some slop there. My mt4 g3 had some slop it can help for bashing sometimes
