We live in the century of prop firms. Everybody can have a 100k - 200k account if they really know what they do. I'm not at the point yet, but maybe I will be one day, maybe not.
Learn how to trade, put the effort in, go for FTMO or whatever firm. Compound that money and you'll have your own 6-7 figure account one day.
The trader generations before us didn't have those advantages, always remind that :)

Totally agree. Have been 'trading' since the 90's. However, every now and then (once or twice a year ) you see a slam dunk...thats when you load the boat.

Nick, you are too deadly, how could you say $500 will make just $200 a year? that's really poorest of all performances. You should mention that It will depend on the number of trades he/she will be taking per year. Not everyone is a swing trader, I take at least 3trades a week and I confidently make around 8-60% a month. 5% in worst scenarios according to my backtesting data

True words brother...!! Many people (including me) do not get this point at the early stage of Trading career..!! I have been trading for 15 months and realized this about a month ago. Making 1% of profit on every trading day with a $100 account and $10000 account are two different stories of making a living out of trading. Thank you for your advice..!! :)
